CGWAN

Columbia Gorge Women’s Action Network

Welcome.

CGWAN was founded by two friends from White Salmon, Washington, in response to the misogyny, bigotry, and intolerance that permeated the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. In the eight years since, CGWAN has blossomed into a strong and supportive network of activists working throughout the Columbia Gorge to protect democracy, human rights, free and fair media, and a safe environment.

We strive to amplify the voices, knowledge, and leadership of women and gender non-conforming people, and to serve our communities by channeling our collective energies into meaningful action.

What We Do

We recruit and support local candidates who share our values, regardless of party, and we write a twice-monthly Action Alert for Gorge residents. We raise funds and volunteer for local nonprofits, hold our local, state, and national representatives to account, and help connect Gorge activists in person and online.

We are an Indivisible group and operate as a 501(c)(4) through its Distributed Fundraising Network.

Take Action

Call your representatives, write a letter, run for office, or serve your community in other ways. We’re here to help!
